【例】
たとえば
「新規取引先の数は、おおむね横ばいとなっている」
なら
The number of new customer has stayed almost the same.
と言えます。簡単ですね。
経済産業省による月例経済報告では
Domestic wholesale prices remain at the same level.
（国内卸売物価は横ばいで推移している）
という表現が使われています。
The Economistでは、
Personal savings rates in the mid-1990s appeard flat
のように、flat一語でスマートに表現されている場合もあります。
